Responsibilities

Findings Optimization: Monitor the High Mix Low Volume & High Mix High Volume production of die-struck findings, ensuring that settings and prongs maintain the work-hardened durability required to hold gemstones securely
Coin & Medal Minting: Support the setup and tonnage calibration for striking precious metal coins and medals, focusing on high-relief detail and proficient surface consistency
Struck Shank Ring Production: Assist in optimizing the transition of metal blanks into integrated shanks and settings, ensuring correct metal flow into engraved dies for multi-part engagement ring assemblies

Required

Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Materials Engineering
Ability to use precision measurement tools (micrometers/calipers, drop indicators) for tight-tolerance inspections
Ability to conduct and document time-studies and process analysis, including process flow mapping
Strict adherence to safety regulations
Ability to follow written and verbal direction while maintaining quality standards
Effective communication and teamwork skills
Strong attention to detail while maintaining focus on repetitive tasks
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Ability to utilize ergonomic equipment to help aid in repetitive tasks
Protective equipment required in work environment
Eye Protection, ear protection, gloves utilized for Sharp/Hot processes, aprons, steel toe shoes
This role requires candidates to have work authorization to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship, either currently or in the future

Preferred

Proficiency in Cad Software including but not limited to Autodesk suite, Rhino, SolidWorks
Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and its application in small-batch artisanal production
Interest in the history and evolution of fine jewelry fabrication vs. modern casting
