Responsibilities

You will coordinate work while assuring proper inter-trade and inter-shop coordination, high levels of quality assurance with timely yet orderly job completion
You will demonstrate proper work methods, provide on the job training for workers, correct improper electronics work methods, and ensure assigned work procedures are being followed
You will ensure safe work practices and good housekeeping while assuring timely tool, equipment, material, and procedure availability
You will answer questions of the supervisor on overall work operations and problems

Required

Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment

This is a bargaining unit position
You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift
Work is performed in areas where potentially harmful physical and chemical agents are present
This position requires that the selectee have visual acuity and accurate color discrimination
This position requires that the selectee be willing and able to climb ladders and scaffolding
Ability to lead or supervise
Ability to locate malfunctioning circuits, components, etc., using appropriate test equipment within the functional system, and to determine method of repair
Ability to read, utilize, and work from complicated blueprints, diagrams, technical manuals, and electronic schematic
Ability to plan and execute sequence work
Ability to troubleshoot with instruments such as voltmeters, tube testers, oscillograph, bridges, frequency meters, etc
Ability to visually inspect to detect trouble
Ability to troubleshoot on the basis of instructional manual and drawings
