Responsibilities
Design and implement automation solutions for network configuration and management including cloud and on-premises network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.)
Develop systems to streamline network security policy approval and deployment
Integrate automation solutions with existing tools and platforms including change management, security approval, and data visualization
Develop systems to streamline security policy approval and deployment
Deliver highly scalable infrastructure provisioning solutions
Implement test-driven-development practices to create and expand platform deployment services
Automate complex, multi-stage configuration management workflows
Develop automated configuration audit tools to provide visibility into infrastructure compliance (HIPAA, PCI-DSS)
Implement data aggregation processes to deliver business intelligence metrics to leadership
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience in a relevant field
Extensive experience in network automation (cloud infrastructure and/or on-premise) using Infrastructure-as-Code
Extensive experience in network development or application automation
Experience developing within a continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) pipeline
Experience with orchestration engines
Track record of delivering assigned projects on time, using Agile and DevOps best practices
Advanced Python development skills
Advanced skills in network device or cloud network configuration with a focus on automation
Experience with network device or operating system scripting or automation languages
Proficiency with data aggregation and visualization tools such as OpenSearch and Grafana
Proficiency with utilizing cloud native network technologies such as Virtual Cloud Networks and Network Security Groups
A strong understanding of network protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
Experience with operations and support processes and tools such as: Incident Management, Change Management, Ticketing Systems (JIRA, Service Desk), Service Level Agreements, Escalation processes
Proactive self-starter who thrives on collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive innovative new product development
Strong analytical, planning, and organizational skills with an ability to manage competing demands
Ability to create troubleshooting guidelines and workflow instructions for others to follow
Ability to work independently, defining and managing one's own work while still providing transparency and accountability to management and our stakeholders

Experience developing network automation systems within large-scale SaaS environments

Hands-on experience developing complete applications in Python
Expertise with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure
Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines for code testing and delivery

Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Accrued Vacation is provided to all other employees eligible for vacation benefits. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment.
