MDS Specialist - Full-Time

The MDS Specialist is responsible for coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure accurate and timely completion of resident assessments in accordance with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the coordination of the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process to ensure accurate and timely completion of resident assessments in accordance with Medicare, Medicaid, OBRA and other payor program requirements
Ensures assessments accurately reflect the physical, mental and psychosocial status of each resident; ensures accuracy of RAI to reflect accurate reimbursement for services provided; ensures appropriate documentation is present to support services provided and assessment accuracy, etc

Qualification

RN LicenseMDS CredentialingMDS Assessment KnowledgeMicrosoft ProficiencyPost-Acute Care ExperienceFast-Paced Environment Experience

Required

Current license to practice in the State as an RN (or in process of obtaining RN)
MDS credentialling (CMAC, RAC, etc) preferred or willing to complete course
Working knowledge of the MDS assessment cycle and assessment information
Computer proficiency with Microsoft products, PCC preferred

Preferred

Experience in a fast-paced environment
Post-acute care or health care experience preferred
