EHS Analyst

Responsibilities

Inspect, audit, and monitor equipment, work areas and work practices and procedures for compliance with established health and safety rules and regulations
Assist in identifying, preventing, recommending control measures, and eliminating safety hazards
Conduct new hire safety training
Conduct compliance audits
Safety work order tracking
Conduct Near Miss follow ups and investigations
Conduct Annual Fall Protection Inspection
Be visible in the Plant
Be a member of the Plant Safety Committee
Deliver safety training to include Safe Start
Update site safety signage
Maintain monthly reports including key safety metrics
Trend and analyze safety data and report findings and recommendations to Plant Management
Assist with maintenance and update of safety procedures
Enter safety data into the Benchmark/Gensuite system
Assist with Contractor Safety Program
Assist with new and modified processes/equipment/product development to ensure safety is included at all levels of design through implementation
Participate in safety & industrial hygiene reviews, routine safety inspections and incident investigations, making appropriate recommendations

Required

Knowledge of OSHA/industry specific regulatory requirements/standards and official interpretations
Five year's relevant experience in heavy manufacturing or construction environment
Strong organizational and communication skills
Demonstrated competency in the technical and training skills required to fulfil the position's responsibilities
Ability to effectively motivate people, to enlist needed cooperation in implementing effective safety programs
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work with personnel at all organizational levels
Strong Computer Skills (database, word processing, spreadsheet, etc.)
Ability to focus on details and understand the overall impact of events and decisions
Ability to deal with regulatory agencies, consultants, and other contractor personnel

Preferred

Associate degree in related field preferred
