The Walt Disney Company is seeking a Digital Intern for WABC-TV, the flagship Disney/ABC–owned television station in New York. This part-time internship offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic newsroom environment, producing stories and engaging with audiences on various digital platforms.

Responsibilities

Assist in producing stories and creating original videos for ABC7NY.com and related social platforms
Engage audiences on social networks and participate actively in the newsroom
Collaborate with the digital team to learn and gain valuable experience

Non-linear video editingDigital media passionJournalism experiencePhotography experienceGraphic design softwareCommunicationProblem-solving skills

Required

Passion for digital media and television
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Previous experience with non-linear video editing software - Adobe Premiere, AVID, and/or Final Cut Pro
Proficient with Canva, Adobe Photoshop, or similar program
Experience with photography and/or videography - DLSR or similar cameras
Previous experience in journalism (print, digital, and/or broadcast) and/or in television, news and new media production
Be enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a degree taking at least one class at time of application OR currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship
Be at least 18 years of age
Possess unrestricted work authorization
Able to have a consistent, reliable work schedule throughout the internship
Fully available from June 2026 through January 2027
All candidates must be willing to work 24 hours/week during a Monday through Sunday schedule (hours and days to be determined by your supervisor, and could include nights, weekends, and holidays)
Able to provide own housing for the duration of the internship program in the New York, New York area
Able to provide/have reliable transportation to/from work in the New York, New York area
