Responsibilities

Providing assistance to DPW team members in meeting environmental regulations and policies
Evaluating wastewater, drinking water, and solid waste processes
Preparing reports
Supporting DPW environmental management systems

Required

Environmental Compliance, and Environmental Consulting skills
Experience in Solid Waste Management and Wastewater Treatment
Experience in drinking water filtration plant operation
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related science field

Preferred

Relevant certifications and experience in the public sector are a plus
Understanding of federal and state regulations, specifically the Clean Water Act (CWA), RCRA (Hazardous Waste), and Clean Air Act
Experience conducting internal compliance audits, identifying non-conformances, and verifying corrective actions
Experience with ISO 14001:2015
Ability to write clear, audit reports and communicate findings to facility staff and upper management
Comfortable working in industrial settings (wastewater treatment, solid waste, etc.) to perform on site inspections
Ability to interpret lab data
