Electrical Integration Engineer
General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI) is a leader in remotely piloted aircraft and tactical reconnaissance systems. They are seeking an Electrical Integration Engineer to support cable harness design and manufacturing, acting as a liaison between engineering and manufacturing departments while resolving production issues and supporting supplier manufacturing.

Responsibilities
Identifies issues in engineering and manufacturing and utilizes resources for resolution
Reviews engineering specifications, drawings, and processes. Confers across functional areas to provide and obtain technical information
Supports Design for Manufacturing efforts to ensure consistency, usage of standard parts, practices and processes, and to ensure custom tooling is minimized
Integration involvement during aircraft production first builds of avionics and harnesses
Verifies installation requirements are communicated and depicted on engineering documentation during integration efforts
Supports the sustainment efforts of released product; perform mechanical failure investigations and recommend design improvements
May be involved in the development of new tooling using 3D printing techniques for proof of concept or in support of mechanical or electrical test efforts
Qualification
Required
Typically requires a bachelors or masters degree in engineering or a related technical discipline from an accredited institution and two or more years of engineering experience with a bachelors degree. May substitute equivalent engineering experience in lieu of education
Must have a basic understanding of engineering concepts, principles, and theory
Must possess the ability to understand new concepts quickly and apply them accurately throughout an evolving environment and organize work assignments to meet established timetables
Must have excellent communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team; able to perform complex tasks in one engineering area; May provide direction to design or technician staff
Able to work extended hours as required
Ability to obtain and maintain DoD security clearance is required
Preferred
Mechanical Engineering degree preferred
Experience with SAE-AS50881, and IPC-620 standards is desired
