Responsibilities
Monitor and patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety and security of the premises, conducting regular inspections to identify and deter potential security risks, illegal activity, or breaches
Operate and monitor surveillance equipment to ensure the security of the premises
Maintain clear and effective communication with site and Company staff regarding security matters
When required, complete detailed incident reports and maintain accurate records of security-related activities
Respond promptly to alarms and incidents and take appropriate action
Provide excellent service by assisting visitors and employees with inquiries and concerns
Manage conflicts and disturbances in a calm and professional manner
Work together with law enforcement agencies as needed
Participate in ongoing training and professional development related to security functions and processes
Complete additional work tasks with guidance from the Field Support team
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma/GED is required
Reliable transportation is required
Must be available to work 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift
Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with employees and/or other customers
Pushing/pulling/carrying and lifting may include up to 50 lbs.; stair climbing, walking and, at times, standing
Normal vision or corrected by use of glasses and/or contacts for normal reading and viewing abilities
General computer knowledge and able to adapt to software easily
All candidates must be willing to submit to a background check
Any offer of employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a full background check and successful passing of a drug screen
Preferred
Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred
Experience in a school setting is a plus
First Aid and CPR certification is desirable
Strong observational and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work flexible hours and the ability to work all shifts on any given day, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays
