Responsibilities
Conducting mechanical inspections with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision tools
Interpreting blueprints, GD&T, and ASME Y14.5 requirements to verify part geometry
Maintaining and calibrating inspection equipment, including routine CMM upkeep and tool‑gage calibration
Documenting inspection results, non‑conformances, and first‑article reports in a clear, trace‑able manner
Training new personnel on inspection techniques and supporting internal/external audit activities
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. citizen
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Experience conducting mechanical inspections with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and other precision tools
Ability to interpret blueprints, GD&T, and ASME Y14.5 requirements to verify part geometry
Experience maintaining and calibrating inspection equipment, including routine CMM upkeep and tool-gage calibration
Ability to document inspection results, non-conformances, and first-article reports in a clear, traceable manner
Experience training new personnel on inspection techniques
Support internal/external audit activities
Preferred
Experience working in various fabrication areas and/or previous inspection experience
Demonstrated computer skills in areas of LM tools including SAP, Apriso, Command Media, PAL and Windchill
Navigating SAP/Apriso in areas concerning confirmations, reviewing characteristics, and Nonconformances
Technical writing for documenting issues on rejection paperwork
Knowledge of ISO 9000/ AS9100
Familiarity with CMM software programs (PCDMIS, Calypso, LaserQC)
