Continuous Improvement Graduate Intern
Seattle City Light, a department of the City of Seattle, is a leading municipally owned utility known for its commitment to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship. The Continuous Improvement Graduate Intern will support Lean process improvement projects, analyze workflows, and engage with various teams to foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities
Collaborating with our Data and Quality Analysis team on analytical projects such as developing metrics, data analytics, process automations, or creating digital dashboards
Support teams during improvement activities, such as tracking work and documenting outcomes
Assist in mapping business processes using tools like value stream maps, swimlane maps, SIPOCs, etc
Gather, organize, and analyze qualitative and quantitative data to support root cause analysis
Qualification
Required
Enrolled in an accredited graduate program during their internship
Graduate students will need to maintain a 3.0 GPA or above throughout the internship
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
Interest or coursework in Lean, systems thinking, human-centered design, or process improvement
Ability to communicate clearly, verbally, and in writing
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
Preferred
Enrolled in an academic program with focus in Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Development, Operations Management, Data Analytics, Human Centered Design/UX, or a related field
Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Visio, Tableau, or similar tools is a plus
