Responsibilities

Own the maintenance and safety of IVS test vehicles and facilities, ensuring seamless operations
Retrofit and optimize ADS/ADAS sensors, data acquisition systems, and specialized equipment for maximum performance
Lead and execute public road and closed course evaluations, delivering actionable insights on ADAS/ADS system performance
Analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions that drive continuous improvement
Foster a culture of safety and teamwork, supporting the Automated Technician Group and collaborating across departments

Required

Bachelor's degree in a technical or academic field, or equivalent work experience (4+ years) that provides a strong foundation in vehicle systems and technology
Experience using data acquisition equipment to capture and analyze critical performance metrics
Proven ability to troubleshoot vehicle systems remotely via phone or video conference
Hands-on experience updating vehicle systems software and verifying functionality
Skilled in interpreting electrical systems drawings, specifications, manuals, and wire diagrams
Proficiency with OBD (On Board Diagnostic) and CAN (Controller Area Network) tools for system diagnostics
Expertise in using hand and shop tools to build test fixtures and assemble/disassemble vehicles
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (30–50%)
Ability to work independently or lead a team, demonstrating initiative and collaboration

Preferred

Advanced degree that deepens your expertise in vehicle dynamics or related fields
Extra years of experience that give you a broader perspective on vehicle evaluation and testing
Specialized skills such as ASE certification, Toyota Driving Certifications, or experience writing software scripts to automate evaluations
Vehicle dynamics evaluation experience that sets you apart as a subject matter expert
