Responsibilities

Collaborate with other departments to optimize shipping processes, negotiate rates with vendors, and resolve any shipping related issues
Execute appropriate purchasing through deployment of purchase orders to maintain stock required for operations by working with Food & Beverage department leaders and other department heads regarding weekly needs
Negotiate and secure competitive pricing for all goods and proactively source alternative suppliers to optimize cost efficiency
Execute appropriate purchasing to maintain stock required for operations by working with F&B department leaders regarding weekly needs
Build relationships with our vendors and onboard new ones
Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, ensuring accuracy, and timely execution of inbound and outbound packages
Hire, train, and supervise employees involved in shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring they are equipped to perform their duties effectively
Manage daily requisitions for the Food and Beverage and other departments and oversee their transport to the respective departments, obtaining signatures of receipt by the receiving department
Assist and manage the inspection of all incoming shipments for damage before signing off on delivery
Assist and manage the verification and inspection of all food items, including produce, meat, seafood, dairy, frozen goods, and dry storage items
Work closely with the accounting department to process invoices in a timely manner
Store all items in the correct locations, including dry storage, freezers, and coolers, and maintain responsibility for the security of those locations
Establish and maintain a centralized inventory storage system for all food and beverage items, including paper products, liquor, beer, wine, and chemicals, ensuring the space is well-organized, secure, and optimized for efficient access
Oversee all inventory transfers in and out of the centralized storage area, accurately tracking incoming and outgoing items, maintaining up-to-date records, and ensuring timely distribution to appropriate departments
Maintain proper stock rotation using FIFO (First In, First Out) principles to ensure product freshness
Receive and log all alcoholic beverages in the liquor storeroom, verifying deliveries against invoices
Record and report any damaged or missing items, ensuring proper documentation for vendor credits
Manage and complete monthly inventory counts of the shipping and receiving department
Manage and update inventory pricing and lists
Coordinate and track special deliveries for groups and guests, notifying the appropriate departments
Deliver products and goods to various non-F&B departments as needed
Secure all shipping and receiving inventory items under lock and key
Aid and cooperate with other departments on monthly inventory counts and maintain accurate cutoff deadlines
Perform additional duties as assigned

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Experience in food & beverage establishments is required
Familiarity with handling equipment such as dollies, hand carts, and pallet jacks
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; must pass MVR
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel required
Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong multitasking and organizational skills
Flexibility to work a varied schedule, including holidays as needed
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for storing physical inventory, records, and office supplies

Preferred

A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, business administration, or 5+ years of previous experience in shipping and receiving
Central shipping/receiving software knowledge
