InternJohnson Controls Navy Systems invites you to apply for a position in our internship program at our Navy Systems Grantley Plant located in York, PA. The Safety Intern will assist in day-to-day activities of the Environmental, Health, & Safety department to ensure a safe work environment, interacting with various departmental employees and supervisors to address safety issues.

Responsibilities
Review, revise, or author job safety analysis
Review and update machine specific lock-out / tag-out procedures
Conduct personal air sampling to verify employee exposure levels
Assist with accident and injury investigation; determine root cause(s) & corrective/preventative action(s)
Participate in daily pre-shift employee meetings
Draft weekly Safety Awareness Messages
Assist in Environmental permit maintenance
Participate in area safety inspections; log findings and coordinate corrective actions
Participate in monthly Safety Committee meetings
Review and update area Safety Data Sheet binders
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
Pursuing a degree in Environmental, Health & Safety, or other relevant discipline
Proficient use of Microsoft Office Tools, with emphasis on Word, PowerPoint and Excel
Overall GPA of 2.75 or above
Must be able to work onsite supporting a Federal Defense contract which requires US Citizenship
