Technical Program Manager, Autonomy & Product SW
Ursus, Inc. is seeking a Technical Program Manager for their Autonomy & Product Software team. This role involves driving cross-functional program execution to develop and improve autonomous driving systems, ensuring alignment among development teams on priorities and timelines.

Responsibilities
Drive the execution of the software roadmap and ensure that development teams are aligned on priorities and timelines
Build and maintain dashboards, metrics, and reporting frameworks to track program progress, team performance, and program health for key stakeholders
Manage the issue and bug management process for the Autonomy & Product SW teams, ensuring effective tracking, prioritization, and resolution in Jira
Lead and implement initiatives to improve execution, establishing standards and best practices for the software development lifecycle
Facilitate cross-functional alignment to drive decisions, resolve dependencies, and unblock technical teams
Partner with department managers to translate high-level strategy into detailed, actionable plans and deliverables
Maintain a strong technical understanding of our vehicle platforms, software development lifecycle, and test operations to effectively manage program execution
Qualification
Required
BS or MS degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent experience
8+ years of experience in engineering or program management with a focus on executing product development roadmaps
Proven ability to execute complex cross-functional technical programs from start to finish
Expert proficiency in using Jira to manage complex software development backlogs and processes is a must
Excellent roadmapping skills with a talent for breaking down strategic plans into tactical steps
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on continuous process improvement
Excellent written, presentation, and verbal communication skills
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-stress environment and lead teams through ambiguity
Preferred
A background in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or other complex, safety-critical systems is a very big advantage
PMP or equivalent
Experience developing and scaling engineering or operational processes from scratch
Experience in a high-growth company
An ability to provide clear, well-structured, and concise communications tailored to technical and leadership audiences
