Accounting & Operations Coordinator

Peachtree Group Hospitality Management is seeking an Accounting & Operations Coordinator to ensure efficient collaboration between hotel departments and oversee all accounting functions. The role includes managing accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and maintaining compliance with corporate accounting procedures.

Responsibilities

Oversee all accounting functions, including but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll, invoice management, and end of period reporting. Maintain direct bill files
Maintain monthly checkbook; review with department heads and advise GM of any spending variances to budget
Comply with corporate accounting procedures
Approach all encounters with guests and team members in a friendly, service-oriented manner
Maintain regular attendance in compliance with Peachtree Hospitality Management standards, as required by scheduling, which will vary according to the needs of the hotel
Maintain high standards of appearance and grooming, which include wearing a correct name tag when working
Have knowledge and understanding of all department policies and procedures. Communicate and enforce all policies fairly and consistently with staff
Performs other duties as requested by management
Attend all training/meetings as required by management
Always comply with Peachtree Hospitality Management standards and policies to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations
Maximize room revenue and occupancy by reviewing status daily. Ability to analyze variances, monitor credit card report and maintain close observation of daily house count
Actively participate in Manager on Duty program as scheduled
Ensure no-show revenue is maximized through consistent and accurate billing
Closely monitor and resolve returned checks, rejected credit cards, team member discrepancies, etc
Operate all aspects of the front office system, including software maintenance, report generation and analysis, and simple programming
Control department expenses to achieve budgeted profit

Excellent customer service skills
Must be computer literate
Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic arithmetic function
Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of a particular need
Long hours sometimes required
Medium work-exerting up to 30 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects
Ability to stand for long hours at a time
