Vice President of Healthcare Analytics, Syste
Hawaii Island United Way is seeking a Vice President of Healthcare Analytics, Systems and Applications to oversee electronic health records and related information systems. This role leads healthcare informatics strategy, analytics, and system integration to support operations and data-driven decision-making across the organization.
Non-profit Organization Management
Responsibilities
Oversight of health care delivery and business service applications, including new implementations and roadmap development
Oversight of overall application business continuity/support
Oversight of EHR Interoperability
Regularly meets with reporting managers and directors to support professional development and service enhancement
Enforces policies and procedures, including maintenance of client confidentiality under HIPAA privacy rules, to ensure that the principles of HICHC are implemented
Plays an active role in planning organization-wide activities such as implementing new analytics tools and reporting capabilities and executing adoption to updates in clinical workflow and application processes
Coordinates system design, upgrades, and training timelines in conjunction with Executive Stakeholders, the Vice President of Patient Experience, and Director of Information Technology
Directs the definition and maintenance of data standards, sources of truth, and data quality by participating in data governance and stewardship
Directs development, selection process, and ongoing support of system-wide analytics and reporting environments and tools
Manages and oversees all functions and processes performed by personnel within the Healthcare Analytics department
May include recruiting, hiring, training, coaching, scheduling, team building, performance management and evaluation
Regularly meets with reporting managers and directors to support professional development and service enhancement
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in computer science, management of information systems, business, mathematics, engineering, or similar field
Minimum of ten (10) years of healthcare analysis experience; preferably in a community health center setting with electronic health and practice management systems
Certified SQL Data Base Administrator (CMDBA) within six (6) months of hire
One (1) EPIC Certification within six (6) months of hire
Demonstrated expertise in advanced analytics, data science methodologies, and visualization tools
Strong knowledge of healthcare data standards, privacy rules (like HIPAA), and the healthcare industry's data-specific challenges
Preferred
Master's degree in related field
Expert Level Cisco certification (CCIE, CCNA or CCNP) highly desirable
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) highly desirable
Microsoft Certified Azure Solutions Architect or Associate (MCSA) highly desirable
Project Management Professional (PMP) highly desirable
