Responsibilities

Own the end‑to‑end handling of client data questions: understand requirements, diagnose blockers, and translate complaints into clear technical tasks
Write intermediate–advanced SQL queries to investigate issues, answer client questions, and validate product behavior using our internal data tables
Partner with sales / customer success / product teams to propose next steps, explain complex data concepts, and communicate findings in a clear, structured way
Manage small to mid‑sized projects and timelines, ensuring stakeholders know what’s happening, by when, and what is needed from them
Collaborate with data engineering / data ops teams on database changes, deployments, and maintenance to support new use cases
Coordinate across multiple time zones (US, China, Asia): join early‑morning or late‑evening calls when needed and structure your day around global collaboration

Qualification

Required

Ability to ramp up quickly on new products, data models, and client contexts; you can understand requirements, blockers, and edge cases quickly over calls or Slack
Strong SQL skills (intermediate to advanced): confident writing joins, aggregations, window functions, and troubleshooting queries in real datasets
Client‑facing experience in an information‑heavy environment (e.g., analytics, SaaS, consulting, adtech, martech, or similar). You're comfortable walking clients through next steps and complex explanations
Proven experience managing projects or timelines across multiple stakeholders
Comfort working in a global, cross‑time‑zone setup, including occasional early/late meetings and heavier periods around key launches or incidents

Preferred

Python for data analysis, automation, or light scripting (e.g., pandas, simple ETL, notebooks)
Experience working with APIs (REST, JSON) to pull or push data between systems
Hands‑on experience with database design, schema changes, or database maintenance in collaboration with data engineering
