Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City is focused on promoting a healthy regional and national economy. The design intern will assist the senior design and multimedia team with visual asset creation and support marketing efforts, requiring creativity and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in designing visual assets for digital (social media, websites, other digital channels) and print (brochures, presentations, collateral)

Create and edit images, logos, and visual elements using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). May also include taking photos

Participate in brainstorming sessions, contributing fresh ideas for campaigns and projects

Help maintain brand consistency and adhere to brand guidelines

Prepare design files for various platforms, ensuring technical specifications are met

Support senior designers with project tasks, including mockups, file management, and client revisions

Collaborate with Public Affairs communications team and other internal stakeholders to conceptualize ideas and translate them to final design solutions

Required

Currently enrolled in or recent graduate of a graphic design or related program

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)

Strong understanding of design principles, typography, and color theory

Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and collaboratively

Detail-oriented with a strong desire to learn

Preferred

Experience with video production
