Environment, Health and Safety Manager
SAVI EHS is currently seeking multiple Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Managers to support active construction projects in the Charleston, SC area. The role involves providing leadership and oversight for construction operations, ensuring compliance, and promoting a strong safety culture.
Responsibilities
Provide on-site EHS leadership and oversight for construction operations
Conduct and document daily safety inspections and observations
Deliver project-specific safety orientations and training
Support planning and execution of high-risk activities, including crane and lifting operations
Participate in Daily Hazard Analysis (DHA) and pre-task planning
Lead or support incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
Partner with project leadership to drive an injury-free, compliant jobsite
Track, analyze, and report safety metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
Review contractor EHS plans and assist with developing site-specific procedures
Ensure subcontractor compliance with all EHS requirements
Verify craft worker training, certifications, and task qualifications
Collaborate with contractor EHS teams and project safety leadership
Act as a liaison with client risk management and safety representatives
Support and deliver EHS training and positive safety recognition initiatives
Qualification
Required
Strong construction safety experience
Recognized safety credentials
Ability to partner closely with construction leadership, subcontractors, and clients to ensure compliance and promote a strong safety culture

Preferred
5+ years of construction EHS experience
Experience supporting airport, aviation, or complex commercial construction projects
Active OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500 and/or OSHA 510 strongly preferred
Professional safety certifications such as ASP, GSP, CSP, CHST, or STSC
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and digital safety management platforms
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Construction Management, or a related field (preferred)
Benefits
Per Diem: $800 per week (project-based, maximum)
