2026 Summer Internship - Manufacturing
Vast is developing next-generation space stations to ensure a continuous human presence in space. The Manufacturing Intern will have hands-on opportunities to design and build space hardware and software, playing a crucial role in the development of systems for artificial-gravity human-rated space stations.

Responsibilities will vary depending on each intern’s area of expertise. We are currently looking for candidates with experience in the the following engineering disciplines: Thermal Manufacturing

Qualification
Required
Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program from an accredited college or university in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering or other related engineering discipline
Ability to work full-time onsite in Long Beach, CA or Hawthorne, CA
Preferred
Application of technical skills outside of the classroom (examples include: extracurricular projects, volunteering, personal projects, laboratory research, or prior internship/work experience)
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) for 3D modeling and simulation
Attention to detail
Strong engineering problem solving capabilities
Basic knowledge of engineering and equipment
Working knowledge of analysis tools
Ability to collaborate across different teams
Self-directed with a positive attitude and team spirit
