Responsibilities

Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory to ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols
Manage a team of graduate and undergraduate researchers, providing guidance and support as needed
Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and documentation
Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, arranging for repairs and replacements when necessary
Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
Manage laboratory budgets, including procurement of materials and allocation of resources
Train and mentor new laboratory staff to ensure competence and understanding of protocols
Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in laboratory processes and procedures

Required

Bachelor's degree or higher in a scientific discipline
In-depth knowledge of laboratory safety and regulatory requirements
Experience in budgeting and financial management
Oversee the daily operations of the laboratory to ensure adherence to safety standards and protocols
Manage a team of graduate and undergraduate researchers, providing guidance and support as needed
Develop and implement laboratory policies, procedures, and documentation
Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, arranging for repairs and replacements when necessary
Monitor and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements and quality standards
Manage laboratory budgets, including procurement of materials and allocation of resources
Train and mentor new laboratory staff to ensure competence and understanding of protocols
Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in laboratory processes and procedures
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Preferred

Preferentially have graduated within 36 months and have a GPA >3.0
Strong interest in pursuing a PhD
