Responsibilities

As a key step in the account onboarding process, assumes responsibility for processing all new accounts, account maintenance requests, and account closures on the system, focusing on quality of data while also considering potential improvements to process and documentation
Responsible for the daily and monthly reconciliation of transactions and holdings, ensuring that accounts are kept up to date in the portfolio accounting and trade order management systems
Reviews daily exception reports for account reconciliation and quality assurance of client and account data
Assists in multiple processes related to securities held in client accounts, for example: pricing and building securities, maintaining target allocations and model preferences, cost basis updates, and tax lot reconciliation
Monitors client accounts against both the FinCen & OFAC lists to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
Acts as a liaison in the workflow between the front and back office, interacting with and providing assistance to Investment Officers and Portfolio Managers regarding client accounts, partnering in our mission to ensure five-star client service
Interacts with the Fixed Income Team to assist in handling the allocation and settlement of fixed income trades
Collaborate with Custodians in handling the allocation and settlement of equity and fixed income trades
Participate in cross-training and cross-ownership of multiple processes owned by other team members (including portfolio implementation) and assist with special team projects and other Operations responsibilities as needed
Maintains current documentation for all processes owned and for cross-training other team members to be a backup for the Portfolio Operations and Trading Specialist responsibilities
Support trading-related functions for all facets of the firm, remaining flexible to assist in meeting team goals and deadlines
Assist in trade execution for all facets of the firm across multiple custodians for various asset classes, including but not limited to: domestic and foreign stocks, ETFs, mutual funds, options, preferred stocks, and UITs, monitoring a rapidly evolving intraday trading environment and exercising judgment in working orders, oftentimes with little or no notice
Consistently leverage existing programs and platforms that deliver critical data, combined with existing marketplace acumen and professional discretion

Required

BA or BS in Business, Finance, or similar field preferred
3-5 years' experience in financial services preferred
In lieu of a BA or BS, 7+ years' experience in comparable position in financial services
Willingness to obtain SIE

Crosstrain to support team members; serve as a reliable back-up
Exceptional verbal skills and client relationship skills with an emphasis on five-star, value-added service
Excellent written communication skills, including precise editing
