Responsibilities
Prepare, enter, and review journal entries
Complete account reconciliations and related analyses
Apply GAAP and statutory accounting standards
Document and maintain internal control procedures
Assist with reinsurance-related accounting and reporting
Oversee various insurance accounting workflows
Support month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close
Participate in system upgrades, new technology rollouts, and reinsurance expansion projects
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Hands‑on experience with month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close cycles
Strong understanding of internal controls and documentation requirements (SOX or public accounting experience is a plus)
Solid knowledge of GAAP
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
Preferred
Background in insurance or reinsurance accounting is a plus
CPA highly preferred
