Start in 2026 SummerRoche is a leading biotechnology company, and they are seeking a 2026 Summer Intern for their Biology Research department focused on AI Development. The intern will work on developing and applying novel tensor factorization methods to analyze single cell datasets, gaining valuable experience in computational biology and machine learning.

Responsibilities
Develop and apply a novel TF formulation for analyzing atlas-level single cell datasets
Learn and implement state-of-the-art tensor decomposition algorithms
Generate impactful insights from high-value datasets using newly developed tools
Qualification
Required
Must be pursuing a PhD (enrolled student)
Strong background in computer science, statistics or mathematics
Proficient in Python programming language and its data science environment (e.g. Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Scikit-learn)
Experience in single-cell genomics data analysis
Preferred
Experience in dimensionality reduction and/or tensor decomposition methods such as non-negative matrix factorization or PARAFAC is a plus
Experience using relevant tools such as JAX and TensorLy is a plus
Experience applying computational tools to generate biological insights is a plus
Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
