Writes 600-800 word news and feature stories for the College
Researches and fact checks information, including ensuring accuracy of quotes used in articles
Complies with IU editorial guidelines, and meets Communications and Marketing's deadlines
Exercises ability to identify, pitch, and tell compelling and authentic stories that showcase the College's vibrant intellectual community, and its impact
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled as a student at Indiana University
Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with meticulous attention to detail
Organizational skills, with the ability to plan effectively and meet deadline
Passion for higher education and research
Preferred
Undergraduate or Graduate student with junior or senior status
Experience with news reporting, blogging, or other public-facing writing
