Responsibilities
Solution Design and Architecture
Collaborate with clients to understand their business challenges and goals
Design and present technology solutions that align with customer needs, ensuring a seamless integration with existing systems
Work closely with the technical team to translate customer requirements into actionable plans
Sales Support
Act as a technical liaison between the sales team and customers, providing insights into the feasibility and benefits of proposed solutions
Support the development of sales proposals and technical documentation
Assist in the preparation and delivery of product demonstrations
Customer Needs Assessment
Conduct in-depth assessments of customer needs, ensuring a thorough understanding of their objectives and pain points
Collaborate with the sales and product teams to tailor solutions that address specific customer requirements
Technical Leadership
Stay informed about the company's technology stack and updates
Provide technical guidance to the sales team, ensuring a deep understanding of the technical aspects of the products and services offered
Project Coordination
Work closely with project managers and delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition from sales to implementation
Provide ongoing support to customers during the post-sales phase
Qualification
Required
Minimum of 12 years of experience in roles such as Sales Engineer, Solutions Architect, or a similar position, with a focus on supporting customer needs and outcomes using company technologies
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
Proficiency in system design, cloud computing, architectural frameworks, security and networking technologies that include Cisco, Palo Alto, Arista, Fortinet, EMC, and other prevailing customer hardware
In-depth knowledge of at least one major cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)
Familiarity with programming languages, databases, and enterprise IT infrastructure
Extensive experience in designing and implementing network solutions for large-scale environments
Knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP), security, and performance optimization
Proven experience in a customer-facing technical role, understanding and addressing customer needs through technology solutions
Ability to effectively communicate the value proposition of company technologies to clients
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Proven leadership and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving and strategic thinking abilities
Preferred
Master's degree preferred
Relevant certifications in the Hawaiian Telcom's technology stack
Sales or technical certifications in related fields
Certifications: CCIE, CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent
