Commercialisation Executive
The University of York is a prominent institution focusing on research and innovation, and they are seeking a Commercialisation Executive to identify and evaluate new commercialisation opportunities from their research. The role involves working closely with the Commercialisation Team to develop spin-out companies and commercial licenses based on scientific research.

Responsibilities
Proactively identify, assess and evaluate new commercialisation opportunities emerging from the research undertaken in the Faculty of Science in line with stages 1-4 of the Commercialisation Stage Gate process
Work with research support colleagues from the wider RIKE and Faculty teams to proactively seek new commercialisation opportunities
Act as the first point of contact for all new enquiries received from the Faculty of Science
Qualification
Required
Understanding of commercialisation processes and the development of ideas into products and services
Knowledge of how intellectual property is protected and managed
Knowledge of market assessment methods
Experience of assessment of early stage technologies and associated market opportunities
Experience of assessment of IP issues associated with new inventions
Gather, analyse, interpret and report complex data/information
Communicate effectively in verbal and written formats, including the use of a variety of digital tools
Works collaboratively with others
Level 3 qualification. (Qualifications at this level include A levels. Please view the full list). We also welcome applicants with equivalent non-uk qualifications or equivalent professional experience
