Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and cash flow for multiple commercial real estate entities
Perform full-cycle accounting, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, account reconciliations, and month-end close
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections
Complete bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations to maintain accurate financial records
Oversee property and lease setup, including CAM reconciliations and ongoing lease accounting
Responsible for payroll processing and related accounting entries, ensuring accuracy and proper general ledger recording
Assist with real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing activity, financing, capital improvements, and development projects
Perform cross-system general ledger reconciliations for multiple businesses
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
5+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting, managing multiple property entities
Strong full-cycle accounting experience, including financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end close
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
Advanced Excel proficiency
Preferred
Experience working with complex accounting concepts such as double-entry bookkeeping, cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and audit support
Solid understanding of lease accounting and CAM reconciliations
Experience with real estate transactions (acquisitions, dispositions, development, leasing, financing, and capital improvements)
Hands-on experience with real estate accounting systems such as Sage, Timberline, Yardi, or similar platforms
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and reports accurately
