Hydraulics Engineering Intern
Denver Water is seeking Hydraulics Engineering Interns for their Summer Position. Interns will assist in collecting data essential to the operation, planning, and design of the treated water distribution system, including equipment installation and data evaluation.

Responsibilities
Help install equipment for monitoring on the Treated Water System
Collect data from equipment
Evaluate data to make sure equipment is working properly
Present data in spreadsheet form for evaluation
Qualification
Required
Currently a student attending college/university or must have graduated in the last six (6) months
Freshman or Sophomore level student majoring in Engineering, or a related field
Current Colorado driver's license “R”, with a satisfactory driving record required
A background check including education and criminal history
Availability from May 11 to Aug 7, 2026
Driving is required
A motor vehicle background check
A pre-placement clinic appointment which may include a physical, drug and alcohol test, strength test, and worker's compensation background test
Authorized to work in the U.S
Preferred
Computer literate
Basic knowledge of spreadsheets
Follow directions
Work with basic tools (wrenches, screw drivers, hammers)
Maintain a safe working environment
Attention to detail
Ability/desire to work independently as well as with coworkers
Good communications skills
