Business Development Manager | Salary + Commission
BrightStar Care is a local agency seeking a Business Development Manager responsible for building relationships with new and existing referral sources. The role involves generating new business through cold calling, servicing existing accounts, and meeting established sales targets within the healthcare sector.

Responsibilities
Building relationships with new referral sources and building on existing referral sources
Generating new business, which often requires cold calling and frequent travel within your assigned territory
Servicing existing accounts and being experienced as the hunter and the closer
Calling on healthcare facilities, physicians, clinics, assisted living and nursing home facilities to generate sales for both private duty, skilled services and medical staffing
Meeting or exceeding established sales targets, including high volume of weekly face-to-face contacts with referral sources, diversified clients across multiple revenue streams, and able to dive deep into key referral relationships
Growing an active customer and lead database in your assigned territory and surrounding markets, promoting the company’s products and services including private duty, skilled services, and medical staffing
Maintaining a high level of understanding of the company’s products, and services and pricing, their value to the potential clients and maintaining all contacts and business activity in the company’s CRM system
Maintaining company designated CRM (Stubhub) and using features including reporting results
Working closely with the Branch Manager, Director of Operations, and Regional Director of Operations to develop and implement a sales and marketing plan for your assigned territory in support of overall brand standards
Seeking, developing and participating in marketing opportunities throughout the community like area networking and business chamber groups
Establishing sources to provide information or competitive pricing, market activities, transaction usage and other information about your assigned territory
Providing weekly sales summaries and call reports to the Branch Manager, Director of Operations, and Regional Director of Operations and company senior leaders on a timely basis
Providing information as required by the corporate leadership to assist in development of sales plans
Reporting all customer problems to the Branch Manager, Director of Operations, and Regional Director of Operations as quickly as possible to ensure the problem is resolved in a timely manner
Tracking the progress of the problem resolution and ensuring that it meets the requirements of the client
Continually improving selling skills through participation in training and seminars, supervisory feedback, self-evaluation, and client feedback
Qualification
Required
2+ years of outside sales experience demonstrating a working knowledge of healthcare in the home or institutional setting
Proven ability to generate leads and monitor referrals, manages the territory and understands how to build relationships with new and existing contacts
Enjoys solving problems, getting things done, achieving goals and wants to be in charge
Wants the challenge and competition, willing to take risks with a strong desire to be in the field face-to-face with clients and referral sources every day
Experience with public speaking (in addition to presentation skills) with strong at persuasive and educational writing and speaking
Self-motivated and comfortable working with little to no direction demonstrating exceptional interpersonal, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
