Training Coordinator – Electrical
Bedford Independent is seeking an Electrical Training Coordinator to join their Apprenticeships department at The Bedford College Group. The role involves supporting and developing apprentices, tracking their progress, engaging with employers, ensuring quality assurance, and upholding professional responsibilities.

Responsibilities
Coach and mentor apprentices in the workplace, enabling them to build skills, knowledge, and competencies for successful completion
Monitor and record progress using OneFile, ensure completion of all programme components, and maintain accurate audit-ready records
Build strong relationships with employers and tutors, provide regular feedback, and align training plans with business needs
Deliver training, conduct reviews, set SMART targets, verify evidence, and participate in internal quality assurance and standardisation
Uphold safeguarding, EDI, and health & safety standards; maintain confidentiality and contribute to continuous improvement
Qualification
Required
Level 3 vocational qualification
GCSE English and Maths
TAQA Level 3 (or willingness to achieve)
Proven experience in the relevant vocational sector
NVQ training and assessment
Classroom management
Strong IT skills (including e-portfolio systems)
Ability to deliver sector-based training
Ability to provide robust feedback
Ability to manage workload effectively
Excellent communication skills
Organisational skills
Ability to work under pressure
Promote equality and diversity
Maintain safeguarding standards
Current driving licence
Willingness to travel across sites
Adapt working hours
Continuously update skills and knowledge
