Responsibilities
Take ownership of US production support and manage the end-to-end banking and escheatment processes
Act as the lead liaison with our third-party payroll tax provider, proactively resolving issues and setting up new tax IDs to ensure seamless continuity
Lead the reconciliation of quarterly and annual payroll tax returns, along with year-end W2 processing
Maintain UI rates and provide essential system updates for General Ledger processing
Conduct deep-dive research into miscellaneous tax issues and provide expert support for both internal and external tax audits
Partner closely with HR, Finance, and Accounting teams to ensure payroll accounting excellence and operational alignment
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance or a related major
5+ years of tax accounting experience (with at least some experience dedicated to payroll tax) within a large, multi-state/multi-FEIN corporation
Deep knowledge of federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations
Strong proficiency with HRIS/Payroll systems; experience with Oracle Fusion and ADP products is highly preferred
Exceptional attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to work independently while adapting to shifting priorities
