Government Relations Sr Manager

Responsibilities

Manage and execute strategies to engage members in public policy input, comprehensive state, and local lobbying campaigns, and government relations. Tracks all engagement and produces communications to inform leaders
Develop and maintain positive relationships and strategic partnerships with elected officials and policymakers to develop mutually beneficial partnerships to serve both the communities and to promote the Coca-Cola brand
Represents the Company at appropriate dinners, legislative days, hearings, and other gatherings with key policymakers and influencers in a monitoring role as needed at the direction of the VP Government Relations
Monitors legislation and issues of importance to the company at the direction of the VP Government Relations and provide policy research on issues important to the Company to assist in developing a comprehensive Government Relations strategy
Develop and implement strategies with State Beverage Associations and other strategic partners to enable policy development and legislation to support development and growth

Required

Bachelor's degree
Knowledge acquired through 1 to 3 years work experience
Build strong collaborative relationships with other organizations, including member organizations and senior government officials in relevant federal and state government departments
Coordinates numerous projects at once, can respond rapidly to changing circumstances and demands, meets all deadlines
As a representative of the Company with political stakeholders, responds to requests for service and assistance both internally and externally, quickly and congenially; meets commitments consistently and thoroughly
Maintains integrity, confidentiality, congeniality, tactfulness, and trustworthiness
A strong collaborator with good interpersonal skills and a strong desire to work with community leaders and influencers
Writes in an excellent professional manner, informatively, compellingly, and accurately
Team contributor who is willing to pitch in to perform any variety of tasks
Prioritizes and plans numerous activities, extremely efficient and organized; uses time productively; meets all deadlines
Takes initiative and operates proactively; ability to develop projects and meet goals with adequate supervision

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Communications, Business Administration, Public Administration
Strong understanding of political and legislative process preferred
