Redpath and Company is a leading CPA and advisory firm, and they are seeking a Senior Accountant to join their Client Accounting & Advisory Services team. In this role, you will manage and support clients' accounting functions, oversee financial reporting, and ensure compliance with accounting standards across various industries.

Responsibilities

Manage and oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial reports
Prepare and review financial statements and management reports for clients
Perform complex account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
Oversee bank and credit card reconciliations
Supervise transactional accounting processes and ensure compliance with internal controls
Collaborate with clients to provide strategic financial insights and recommendations
Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
5+ years of experience in accounting, with a focus on general ledger and financial statement preparation
Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles
Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Strong organizational and project management skills
Proficiency in QuickBooks, Excel, and other accounting software
Ability to manage multiple clients and projects simultaneously

Preferred

CPA designation or progress toward CPA designation
Experience with payroll processing and tax report filing
Knowledge of sales taxes and filing requirements
Experience in construction accounting
Experience with government and not-for-profit
