BD&J Injury Lawyers is California’s leading personal injury law firm, currently seeking a skilled Lien Negotiator to join their team. The Lien Negotiator will be responsible for negotiating attorney liens on cases referred out to outside firms and ensuring the firm receives its fair share through effective communication and management of lien disputes.

Responsibilities

Negotiate attorney liens with outside law firms on referred-out cases to ensure equitable fee distribution
Review referral agreements, fee-splitting arrangements, and lien documentation to confirm compliance and accuracy
Communicate directly with attorneys and legal staff at other firms to resolve lien disputes professionally and efficiently
Track and manage lien negotiations to ensure timely resolution and payment
Identify discrepancies or unfavorable terms and escalate issues when necessary
Maintain accurate records of negotiations, agreements, and outcomes
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proper disbursement of funds
Ensure all negotiations align with firm policies, ethical rules, and applicable regulations

Required

2+ years of experience with Personal Injury
Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to manage a high caseload and prioritize effectively
Experience with legal case management systems and Microsoft Office
