Senior LevelHerdCycle is an AgTech startup building innovative solutions for livestock management. They are seeking a Founding Engineer to lead the development of smart ear tag hardware and embedded systems, influencing product design and strategy in a hands-on role.

Responsibilities
Design, test, and iterate on PCB and embedded systems (STM32, LoRa, sensors, power management)
Lead hardware integration, DFM (Design for Manufacturing), and reliability testing
Collaborate with firmware and software teams to ensure seamless data flow from device to dashboard
Manage BOM optimization, sourcing, and small-batch production with manufacturers
Participate in strategic decisions, pilot deployments, and product roadmap planning
Qualification
Required
Proven experience taking IoT or embedded hardware from prototype → production
Strong background in electronics design (PCB layout, sensors, antennas, power systems)
Familiarity with firmware development (C/C++ for STM32, or similar microcontrollers)
Experience with low-power wireless protocols (LoRa, BLE, or similar)
Comfortable debugging across hardware, firmware, and system-level integration
Passion for building real-world products that impact agriculture, sustainability, or IoT
Preferred
Startup or early-stage experience is a major plus
