Responsibilities

Provides structural engineering analysis and design of building structures including sport facilities, airport facilities, transit facilities and more in support of HNTB’s national architectural practice
Provides structural engineering analysis and design of framing and foundation systems for steel, concrete, post-tensioned concrete, masonry, and wood building frame systems
Performs structural engineering services during the construction phase such as responding to construction questions, review of contractor submittals and construction site observations
Prepares design drawings and/or specifications
Technically involved in the design of building structures that may include performing detailed checking of engineering work done by others or general coordination of specific design aspects into a project
Performs other duties as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience
Experience designing in Steel and concrete
Basic knowledge of Building Codes (IBC, ASCE, ACI, AISC)

Preferred

EIT
Master's degree in Architectural Engineering or Civil Engineering with primary focus on structures
Experience with structural analysis software such as RISA 3d, SAP 2000, ETABS, Enercalc, TEDS, Revit/BIM360
Experience designing in Steel, concrete and masonry
Some experience in construction administration
