Technical Product Manager - Principal 2
DIRECTV is seeking a Technical Product Manager – Principal 2 to join our team! This role is a strategic product leader responsible for defining, delivering, and evolving Salesforce-based products that support business objectives for Care and Field operations.

Responsibilities
Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define use cases, and prioritize features based on value, risk, and effort
Ensure requirements’ rigor, traceability, and readiness at the solution level across multiple ARTs
Validate that all requirements tie directly to business strategy and organizational objectives
Translate business strategy into actionable product requirements and technical specifications
Translate business needs into detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and technical requirements
Collaborate closely with Salesforce Administrators, Developers, Architects, and QA teams to deliver solutions end-to-end
Maintain comprehensive traceability matrices and enforce requirements quality standards
Conduct comprehensive impact and feasibility assessments for proposed features and capabilities
Develop cost-benefit analyses, ROI projections, and KPI forecasts for strategic initiatives
Assess resource requirements, timelines, risks, and technical dependencies across systems
Evaluate technical, operational, and business viability of complex solution implementations
Evaluate potential outcomes using business KPIs, OKRs, and performance metrics
Establish and monitor feedback loops to measure product success and business impact
Define success criteria and track product performance against business objectives
Adjust product strategy based on measured results and changing business needs
Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to resolve ambiguities and clarify requirements
Facilitate strategic discussions to shape trade-offs between competing priorities
Build consensus across diverse stakeholder groups on product direction and decisions
Communicate complex product concepts and recommendations to executive stakeholders
Define and own features or capabilities that span multiple Agile Release Trains
Manage cross-ART coordination ensuring alignment and synchronized delivery
Resolve technical dependencies across complex systems and multiple teams
Facilitate cross-ART ceremonies including PI Planning and dependency management sessions
Define and own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog for Salesforce applications and related integrations
Develop strategic roadmaps that align with Center and Field goals and objectives
Create multi-quarter product plans with clear milestones and deliverables
Communicate roadmaps effectively to stakeholders at all organizational levels
Balance short-term delivery with long-term strategic vision
Qualification
Required
5 – 7 years of progressive experience in technical product management, business analysis, or related roles
Proven track record leading complex initiatives with broad scope and significant business impact
Extensive experience in Agile environments, particularly with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Product Owner–related certifications)
Experience with enterprise-scale Salesforce implementations
Familiarity with CI/CD, DevOps tools, and release management for Salesforce
Demonstrated success managing products or features spanning multiple teams or ARTs
Deep understanding of product lifecycle management and requirements traceability
Expert knowledge of SAFe principles, ART coordination, and Program Increment planning
Experience with feature definition, prioritization, and cross-ART dependency management
Strong knowledge of product roadmap development and strategic planning
Strong analytical skills for conducting impact and feasibility analyses with cost-benefit evaluations
Ability to perform KPI forecasting and outcome prediction
Technical background with understanding of software development and system architecture
Capability to evaluate technical feasibility, dependencies, and integration patterns
Deep understanding of how product decisions impact business outcomes
Experience aligning product strategy with business strategy and company objectives
Understanding of business KPIs, OKRs, and performance measurement frameworks
Ability to develop comprehensive business cases with ROI analysis
Advanced stakeholder management skills with ability to influence across organizational boundaries
Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive audiences
Proven ability to resolve ambiguities and build consensus among diverse stakeholders
Demonstrated leadership ability to lead projects independently with broad scope
Exceptional ability to handle complex and ambiguous problems with innovative solutions
Integrates knowledge across multiple disciplines to provide sound outcomes
Strong judgment in making decisions with significant business impact
Creative approach to resolving issues without well-defined solutions
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field required
Self-directed professional capable of working independently on complex assignments
Demonstrates ownership and accountability for product outcomes
Adaptable and results-oriented in fast-paced, dynamic environments
Strong business judgment and customer-focused mindset
Preferred
SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification highly desirable
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or similar Agile certification preferred
