Accounts Payable Specialist

They are seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist responsible for managing outgoing payments, ensuring timely processing of invoices, and maintaining financial records to support efficient cash flow management.

Responsibilities

Process high volume of invoices which include three-way matching (PO, Receipt, Invoice)
Accurately code invoices with appropriate general ledger codes and cost centers
Resolve invoice discrepancies and issues with vendors and internal stakeholders promptly and effectively
Assist in month-end close by preparing accruals and reconciliations related to AP
Bank reconciliations
Assemble weekly check runs and cash reports
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards
Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process
Prepare various financial reports and present findings to management
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial information and support decision-making processes
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments
Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains in accounts payable procedures
Participate in system upgrades and implementations related to AP

Required

Proven experience as an AP Specialist or similar role
Solid understanding of basic accounting principles and practices
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in accounting
Ability to lift 30 pounds
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Dexterous ability to manipulate small objects
Willing to work standard and non-standard hours as required to support the customers
