Responsibilities
You will design and deliver large scale infrastructure projects, guiding architectural decisions and setting technical standards for reliability and scalability
You will lead efforts to improve developer productivity by reducing friction in build, test, and review workflows, with a focus on measurable improvements to cycle time and feedback loops
You will streamline local development and testing environments, making it easier for engineers to run complex services and validate changes quickly
You will drive platform and dependency upgrades across core languages and frameworks, balancing performance, security, and ease of use
You will play a key role in evolving continuous integration and deployment pipelines, improving automation and internal tooling to support faster and safer releases
Alongside technical leadership, you will mentor engineers at multiple levels, fostering ownership, growth, and a culture of continuous improvement
You will collaborate closely with product engineering teams to understand their needs and ensure infrastructure solutions support real business goals
Qualification
Required
At least seven years of professional software engineering experience
Strong background in platform engineering, developer tooling, or distributed systems
Deep familiarity with modern development practices, including automated testing, continuous delivery, and cloud based infrastructure
Comfortable contributing code and performing in depth reviews
Strong proficiency in languages such as Python, Go, or TypeScript
Hands on experience with containerized systems and orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes
Experience with major cloud providers
Strong problem solver who enjoys untangling complex developer workflow challenges
Ability to lead through influence and example
Known for helping peers grow through feedback, coaching, and shared ownership
Clear and effective communication skills
Ability to translate technical strategy into actionable plans
Curiosity about artificial intelligence and experience experimenting with it
Preferred
Experience with build systems and frameworks such as Pants, FastAPI, Django, React, Terraform, or Buildkite
Background in performance tuning, scaling distributed systems, or managing large test datasets
Familiarity with user interface development workflows and testing tools such as Cypress or Jest
