They are seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide technical support for users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure the reliability and performance of systems and networks.

Responsibilities
Provides support for users with desktops, laptops, printers and mobile devices
Performs hardware setup, basic cable runs and routine troubleshooting
Troubleshoots and resolves technical issues, performs system maintenance and assists users with software installation, updates and configuration
Helps users understand and effectively use technology
Performs routine maintenance on hardware and software to ensure reliability and performance
Monitors network and system alerts using existing tools; escalates potential security and/or system issues to senior IT staff or external partners as needed
Documents solutions, processes and common issues to improve team efficiency and user support
Communicates effectively with users, team members and vendors to resolve issues and coordinate improvements
Qualification
Required
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field or equivalent hands-on experience
Position supports manufacturing facility that operates 24/7/365 and must be willing to be responsive as needed for urgent issues
Foundational knowledge of Windows operating systems (desktop and server)
Basic understanding of networking: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN and wireless LAN (Wi-Fi)
Familiarity with Microsoft 365 apps (Teams, Outlook, OneDrive, Sharepoint)
Ability to work independently, manage time effectively and adapt to changing priorities
Strong logical thinking, problem-solving and research skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Demonstrated ability to analyze problems, identify root causes and implement effective solutions
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer focus
Willingness to learn new technologies and processes through training, documentation and hands-on experience
