Responsibilities
Patient Care Support: Assist with patient rooming, verification, and vitals documentation. Use eCW to update patient status and maintain smooth patient flow
Procedure Support: Prepare exam rooms, support sterile and non-sterile procedures, assist in surgical procedures, and follow CDC and OSHA guidelines for safety and cleanliness
Documentation & Inventory: Document patient information, complete consent forms, manage inventory, and keep exam rooms stocked
Compliance & Confidentiality: Uphold all HIPAA standards, follow UVVC's Core Values and Standards of Conduct, and maintain the highest level of patient confidentiality
Qualification
Required
High School diploma or equivalent
Minimum of one year of experience as a Medical Assistant, Patient Care Technician, Surgical Technician, or Scrub Technician in a patient care setting
Strong communication skills and experience with electronic medical records (EMR)
Dependable, punctual, and knowledgeable in medical terminology
Preferred
Preferred completion of an accredited MA or Surgical Technologist program
BLS certification required within 60 days of hire (American Heart Association preferred)
