Digital Transformation Architect
The Boeing Company is seeking an experienced Digital Transformation Architect to lead a strategic cultural and technical evolution for a proprietary Air Dominance program in Berkeley, MO. This role combines deep software architecture and cloud-native expertise with industrial engineering and lean practices to transform legacy development into a high-velocity DevOps organization.

Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive current-state assessments of software delivery processes, toolchains, and organizational practices across teams to establish a baseline of capabilities, lead times, handoffs, and failure modes
Facilitate value stream mapping workshops (cross-functional) to visualize the end-to-end software delivery flow, identify non-value-added steps, bottlenecks, rework, and delay sources analogous to manufacturing VSM
Quantify waste and inefficiency using time-and-motion style measurements (e.g., wait time, cycle time, rework rates) and translate findings into prioritized remediation opportunities
Produce clear, actionable “current-state” and “future-state” maps with an associated gap analysis and a prioritized transformation backlog (including estimated effort, cost, and expected business value/ROI)
Recommend and own a continuous improvement cadence (e.g., monthly value stream reviews, quarterly kaizen cycles) and governance model to ensure sustained reduction of waste and measurable improvement
Define and articulate a comprehensive vision for the digital transformation initiative, emphasizing the adoption of DevOps practices
Coach teams on practical lean/DevOps techniques (e.g., limiting work-in-progress, pull-based flow, trunk-based development, automated release gates) that eliminate waste and improve throughput
Define, collect, analyze, and refine Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics for software delivery and team execution to ensure continuous improvement and accountability
