Manager, Business Insights

The USTA (United States Tennis Association) is the national governing body for tennis in the United States, focused on promoting the sport at all levels. The Manager of Business Insights will serve as a strategic partner, providing analytics and insights to inform business decisions and drive growth across various business units.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary analytics partner for assigned business units (such as players, coaches, facilities, advocacy, sections)
Translate business questions into structured analyses and deliver actionable insights that inform strategy and execution
Support target setting and measurement by identifying leading, lagging, and contributing metrics for each business area
Conduct ad hoc and deep-dive analyses to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks in collaboration with
Present findings and recommendations using compelling storytelling tailored to executive and non-technical audiences
Collaborate cross-functionally with Research, Marketing, Digital, and other units to integrate insights into broader organizational strategies
Manage relationships with vendors, consultants, and partners supporting data and analytics initiatives
Ensure data integrity, and quality, across research, reporting and analytics deliverables
Support the ongoing evolution of USTA’s data culture by encouraging adoption of tools, best practices, and self-service capabilities
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to make insights accessible and impactful for decision maker

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field
4+ years of experience in analytics, data modeling, or business insights
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to interpret complex datasets
Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional partners and influence decision making
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to translate data into actionable recommendations

Preferred

Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or related field
Experience in client-facing or consultative roles
Passion for the tennis or sports industry
