Responsibilities
Gain technical education through Amatrol E‑Learning Coursework and 22 online technical modules
Participate in structured job shadowing with a qualified Maintenance Technician
Complete a final technical assessment to evaluate readiness for the MT1 role
Undergo on-the-job training with a skills checklist and mentor technician
Commit to remaining employed at Dal‑Tile for one year after promotion to the MT1 role
Qualification
Required
At least 1 year in their current role
No safety incidents within the past 6 months
No active corrective actions for performance
No more than one UTOCA
Willing and able to work any shift after program completion
Commitment to completing all phases of the TechRise program
Amatrol E‑Learning Coursework
22 online technical modules
Completed independently, typically within 6–12 weeks
Structured Job Shadowing
Shadow a qualified Maintenance Technician
Hands‑on exposure to plant‑specific equipment and processes
Final Technical Assessment
Required after completing coursework and shadowing
Evaluates technical readiness for the MT1 role
Final Technical Evaluation
Required after completion of 12 week on the job training
Post‑Promotion Commitment: Team members must remain employed at Dal‑Tile for one (1) year from the start date of the MT1 role
