Regional Sales Manager - Central US

Violet Foods is seeking a Regional Sales Manager for the Central US to drive growth across retail accounts and distributors. The role involves executing sales strategies, managing customer relationships, and overseeing promotional execution to ensure sustainable growth in the region.

Responsibilities

Build strong, trusted partnerships with existing and new retail customers at multiple levels by developing a deep understanding of their business objectives, category dynamics, and regional market trends to drive sustainable growth
Own and deliver against new item launches, distribution expansion, and core business goals, including revenue growth, market share gains, authorizations, distribution depth, and effective shelf placement
Drive promotional performance by managing pricing, timing, and tactics across selling events and promotional windows to meet revenue and volume objectives while maintaining brand and margin integrity
Manage trade spend responsibly, including forecasting, tracking, and maintaining accurate documentation for all customer investments and business transactions
Identify and pursue incremental growth opportunities through creative problem-solving, data-driven insights, and a continuous improvement mindset
Monitor competitive activity and category trends, proactively surfacing insights, risks, and growth opportunities to internal team to inform strategy and execution
Leverage insights and syndicated data (IRI, Nielsen, Spins) to guide customer meetings and recommendations
Monitor retail and category trends to identify growth opportunities and competitive threats
Provide actionable sales reporting, forecasts, and analysis to leadership
Educate brokers, distributors, and internal teams on retail execution strategy, product attributes, and brand positioning
Represent the company at key retail trade shows and industry events to strengthen visibility and relationships

Required

Strong sales background with excellent understanding of business processes (forecasting, promo planning, multiyear strategy development)
Proven track record of success with national and regional retail customers
Strong experience managing broker and distributor networks across the Central US region
Previous experience owning a P&L
Significant experience in building customer relationships
Analytical mindset with strong command of trade spend ROI and syndicated data tools
Skilled in strategic planning, performance tracking, and cross-functional leadership
Proficient in MS Office Suite
Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including regular trips across territories, customer visits, and trade shows

Preferred

Bachelor's of Administration, Marketing, Sales Management, or related field, preferred
Preference to have established relationships with key retailers and brokers
