Refrigeration Alarm Monitoring Specialist, AM - Lakeland
Publix Pharmacy is looking for a Refrigeration Alarm Monitoring Specialist to join their team. The role involves 24-hour monitoring of refrigeration systems, responding to alarms, and ensuring product integrity while minimizing repair costs through technology and analytics.
Retail
Responsibilities
Monitoring of our refrigeration systems including rack and case temperatures and pressures
Dispatching our refrigeration service providers to provide emergency response to refrigeration outages
Prevent refrigerated product loss
Protect product integrity
Reduce energy consumption
Contribute to the reduction of refrigeration repair and maintenance expenses through the use of technology, analytics and problem resolution
Respond to alarms by dispatching internal and/or external refrigeration service providers
Reaching out to our retail store leadership to notify them of the alarm and underlying issue
Providing continual follow-up with our vendors and stores until the issue is resolved
Qualification
Required
high school diploma or its equivalent
at least two (2) years of experience with computer software and hardware
at least two (2) years of experience in a customer service field coordinating and scheduling business/vendor activities
basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
sound decision making skills
strong written and oral communication skills
strong analytical skills
ability to multi-task

Professional telephone etiquette
time management skills
ability to work on a team
ability to be customer focused
willingness to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
Preferred
a degree from an accredited technical school with courses in Refrigeration or Energy Management Systems
four (4) or more years of experience with computer software and hardware with additional experience related to refrigeration alarm monitoring and maintenance management software packages
four (4) or more years of experience in a customer service field coordinating and scheduling business/vendor activities
knowledge of Facility Services products and services
knowledge of the Refrigeration Contract Statement of Work as it relates to Publix refrigeration systems
knowledge and basic understanding of supermarket refrigeration systems and equipment
intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
knowledge of Problem Escalation Process
knowledge of Publix Organizational Structure
knowledge of understanding of company and department policies, processes and procedures
knowledge of improvement methodologies
ability to read and understand refrigeration architectural drawings
