Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end tax registrations, including account setup, closures, officer updates and company structure changes
Ensure accuracy and compliance by validating client data, reviewing documentation, and maintaining agency records
Communicate proactively with clients and internal teams to clarify requests, resolve issues, and support form completion
Identify potential registration risks or tax notices and escalate appropriately
Submit billing orders and update internal systems to reflect confirmed agency registrations
Familiarity with PEO requirements, specifically around Client, PEO and Hybrid reporting methods
Ensure the secure handling, processing, and storage of company and customer data in compliance with GDPR and applicable data protection regulations
Track, prioritise, and resolve open items to ensure efficient and effective management of customer unemployment tax accounts
Qualification
Required
2 years of experience in payroll, tax, or related operational roles payroll service bureau experience a plus
Familiarity with US federal, state, and local tax agencies and employer account types (e.g., withholding, SUI, local taxes, PFML Paid Family and Medical Leave)
Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management in a high-volume environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, client-facing and internal
Preferred
Experience with payroll or tax platforms, case management, or ticketing tools is a plus
Familiarity with PEO requirements, specifically around Client, PEO and Hybrid reporting methods
