They are seeking a Patient Financial Counselor who will assist patients and their families with financial insurance and payment information, educate them on sponsorship programs, and act as a liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital.

Responsibilities

Handle the direct interaction with patients and their families during difficult times, providing financial insurance and payment information to assist them in planning and managing their account balances related to specific services performed in the clinic
Educate patients on the various sponsorship programs available to them
Act as the liaison to the PBO/RBO and the sponsoring hospital

Qualification

Financial/billing experienceMedical terminologyCPT codingICD-9 codingICD-10 codingCollege courseworkMedical specialty experienceCommunication skillsTeam collaboration

Required

3 years of experience in a Business Office, preferably in a financial/billing position
Experience with medical and health plan terminology, CPT codes, ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding

Coursework/Training: College coursework
Experience with medical specialty
